Leger Light, designed by Joanna Briggs of Fontage Canada, is a free geometric display sans serif built from very fine strokes and near-perfect circles. Long horizontal bars and vertical extensions interrupt the circles, giving the lettering a measured, diagram-like quality.

That modernist geometry makes a convincing fit for architecture branding, gallery signage, and cultural posters, especially when the surrounding graphics draw directly on ordered grids, circles, or technical line work. For magazine covers and feature openers, the extended strokes can double as rules or framing devices, turning each title into part of the editorial structure rather than a separate label.

Leger Light is a simpler (and later version) of Leger Heavy--both designed by Joanna Briggs. Named after the French artist Leger, Leger Heavy was named after the French artist Leger. While that decorative font was designed specifically for a book, Leger Light is only slightly more practical for everyday use.

This free version of Leger Light is not a complete character set.
