Banhart by Eric Wiryanata of Deathrockstar is a free cartoon display font built from thick, roughly cut capitals. Its uneven edges and blunt, compact forms resemble hand-cut paper or quickly painted show lettering. The shapes are simple and forceful.

Its scrappy DIY style fits punk and garage-rock graphics, especially gig posters and album packaging. The same rough humor can suit skate merchandise and offbeat children's entertainment. In magazines, it can turn a cover line into a coarse handmade element.
