3x3 Flat by Marc Beekhuis is a free pixel display font built from stark rectangular modules arranged on a rigid grid. Its letters reduce familiar forms to broad bars, square corners, and carefully placed block-shaped gaps. The result is blunt and highly abstract, with the direct look of an early low-resolution screen where each cell matters.
Arcade game graphics and electronic music posters both suit its compact digital construction, even though one suggests interfaces and the other club culture. It also makes convincing interface labels. Album artwork and technology event branding can turn the same grid-based lettering into a recurring graphic motif.
