Bertholdr Mainzer Fraktur by Peter Wiegel is a free blackletter font with the dense authority of traditional Fraktur. Its broad curves and knife-sharp joins form a dramatic silhouette.

Publishing gives this lettering its strongest setting, from historical book covers and chapter openings to museum exhibition graphics. The sweeping strokes also suit heritage packaging and theatrical posters, especially when engraving-style borders, crests, or period illustrations closely echo their richly pointed forms.
