Chempaka Ranting, designed by Cenz Qobbal in 2012, is a free geometric display font with an exceptionally light monoline build. Tall letters combine broad circular curves, open sides, and abrupt diagonals in a clean but unconventional silhouette. The generous proportions and simplified shapes make several characters resemble continuous wire drawings, with rounded forms interrupted by sharp peaks and deep angles.
Fashion branding is its most convincing setting. The slender construction and oversized curves suit perfume packaging, gallery posters, magazine covers, and music artwork, particularly in minimalist or experimental projects that draw on the sleek geometry of late modernist graphics.
