Chocolate Factory by Jens R. Ziehn is a free groovy display font rooted in the swollen, hand-drawn lettering of late-1960s and 1970s pop graphics. Thick, rounded shapes press close to the edges of each letter, with wobbly curves, pinched joins, and occasional wedge-like serifs creating an irregular but deliberate silhouette, and abruptly tapered strokes add to its handmade confidence.
Album covers and concert posters are its most convincing territory. Its rolling contours echo psychedelic illustration and vintage candy wrappers, so it also suits band merchandise, confectionery packaging, and brightly illustrated children's entertainment built around exuberant retro imagery and a comic, theatrical streak.
