EngebrechtreEx Italic by Ray Larabie of Typodermic Fonts Inc. is a free condensed sans serif with a sharp forward slant. Tall, tightly fitted letters combine sweeping diagonals with pronounced changes in stroke width, giving the face a sleek, fashion-minded edge.

Its elongated lines can echo angular photography and cropped figures in fashion editorials and record sleeves. It also suits nightclub posters. The strong lean makes motion a useful theme for sports packaging and event graphics.

Engebrechtre is a stressed sans-serif font created in 2000. The redesign retained only the regular weight and started over from there. It includes new spacing, kerning, and web-oriented horizontal precision. The S and accents were redesigned, and support for additional languages was added. The italics use round dots rather than slanted dots. The font includes additional mathematical symbols, fractions, numeric ordinals, an @ symbol, and the Indian rupee symbol. The vertical metrics were adjusted for web performance.

The fonts include a license that allows free commercial use, sometimes referred to as a desktop license. This license permits you to install the fonts on a computer and use them for commercial work. See the license agreement for details.
