Gardenia Victorian, created by Douglas Day in 2001 from lettering in Dan Solo's Victorian Display Alphabets, is a free decorative Victorian display font. Broad slab serifs, striped interior shading, and curling floral ornaments give the capitals the look of engraved shop signs, with leaves and buds woven through the strokes.

The botanical details can become part of the illustration in garden-center packaging, seed catalogs, and heritage food labels rather than sitting apart as decoration. Its carved, sign-painted structure also suits theater posters and period-themed event graphics, where the lettering can suggest an elaborate nineteenth-century storefront.
