Petit

Petit by Clops is a free bitmap pixel font from 2000 with a stripped-back early screen feel. The letters sit on a strict square grid, using blocky strokes, blunt corners, and narrow gaps that give the design a dry, coded rhythm rather than a soft retro arcade mood.

It works well for zine headings, game menus, software-themed posters, web graphics, and small identity marks where a free font with obvious pixel structure helps set the tone fast. Because the forms are so reduced and regular, Petit also suits short labels, title cards, and monograms that want a deliberate low-resolution voice.
