Points West NF by Nick Curtis of Nick's Fonts is a free condensed Western display serif with the tall, theatrical proportions of nineteenth-century poster lettering. Its thin hairlines meet broad vertical strokes and sharp pointed serifs. The letters look formal and slightly severe.
Packaging is an especially good medium for its elongated silhouette, which can lend frontier atmosphere to whiskey labels, confectionery boxes, and heritage merchandise. In event posters and entertainment branding, the narrow forms can become part of a saloon sign or period title treatment.
