Xero Bold Italic by Rob Barba of Megami Studios is a free rounded sans serif with a forceful forward slant. Broad strokes, softly cut curves, and compact joins give the lettering a fast, substantial silhouette.

Sports branding is its most convincing role, especially for team marks and event posters that benefit from the combination of speed and weight. It can also suit music merchandise and game graphics, where the smooth shapes feel energetic rather than severe. The angled lettering can echo racing stripes, motion trails, or sweeping illustrations, becoming part of the artwork as well as a title.

Xero is an intentionally loose creation of a humanist font. Played rougher than its counterparts Helvetica and Arial, Xero works well for those who want to go that route but don't want the sharply defined lines of others in the humanist family.
